16-19 Bursary Fund

If you are aged between 16-19 years of age,  then you may be eligible for the 16-19 Bursary Fund. 

Carshalton College will be awarding bursaries to those who would have otherwise struggled financially to come to college. This may be because of your families’ low income or other factors such as if you have left home and wish to continue with your education. These awards are intended to help towards expenses incurred at College, i.e. lunches, equipment and travel.
Bursaries - £1200 per year
The College will award you a £1200 bursary for the academic year 2012/13 if you meet one of the following criteria.

You are aged under 19 on 31 August 2012:-

  • In care or leaving care
  • In receipt of income support
  • In receipt of both Employment Support and also in receipt of Disability Living Allowance.

 

Bursaries - up to £800 per year
You are aged under 19 on 31 August 2012:-
You may be eligible to receive a bursary of up to £800 depending on the level of your family income. Priority will be given to the following group:-

  • Learners whose family income is less than £16,190
