Search for the course you think you would like to study and ensure you read the information carefully.

If you are an International Student, please click on this link: International Study.

On each individual course leaflet page there will be an APPLY NOW or ENROL NOW button.  This will either take you to the College's Application/Enrolment portal or to the UCAS website.

MySTCG is an easy way to keep track of your application status. Download the MySTCG app from the App Store or Google Play and accept notifications. Your interview details and your course offer will be posted in the app and sent via email.

There are many things to consider when choosing a college and course, including:

  • What level you are qualified to study?
  • Will this course lead me to my chosen career?
  • How long will my journey take?
  • Are there fees to pay?
  • What support will I get with my studies?

We have included some useful links at the bottom of this page to help with your decision.

How many courses can I apply for?

You can make a maximum of two full time applications per College. This will allow you to keep your options open and explore those subjects.

Usernames and Passwords

If you have never applied to Carshalton, Kingston, Merton or South Thames College before you will be asked to create an account.  When you create your password, please ensure you make a note of this as you will need to later in the year to start the enrolment process.

If you are a previous student or applicant, you will already have a Username and Password.  If you cannot remember these please contact one of the colleges and we will help you.

References

Some of our full-time and part time courses require a reference from your last place of study or an employer (if out of education for 2 years and aged 20+). You will be asked to supply these in your offer letter.

Open Days

Open Days are a great way of exploring your subject and study options. To register for our next Open Event please visit the Events page, found in the menu bar.

When should you apply?

Courses across the South Thames Colleges Group are in high demand and we would suggest you apply as soon as possible.

Full Time course applications received after 1st June, for a September start course will be considered as ‘late applications’. We will do our best to process them, but cannot guarantee a response before GCSE results day.

Interviews and Offers

If the course you have applied for requires an interview, you will be informed by way of an interview email. Please note, majority of interviews are currently being conducted over the phone.

Some courses do not require an interview. In this case you will be sent a conditional offer, subject to you meeting the entry criteria. Please ensure you have followed the advice above and checked that this is the course you want to do and that your actual/predicted grades meet or are likely to meet the entry criteria.

Assessment

Some of our Adult Education courses require you to undergo an assessment. This is to ensure you are joining us at the right level (for example, English Courses). You will be invited for an assessment as part of your admissions process.

What happens next?

Once you have been sent an offer, please make sure you read the email carefully, so that you are aware of the conditions and confirm your acceptance.

Enrolment

Enrolment for most courses will happen in late August (although some adult courses with a September start will be enrolled in late June).  We will send you an invitation with a day/time for your enrolment.  It is important that you are available at this time, as we are unable to hold places for students who do not attend their enrolment appointment.
