Music Production Tutor
Music producer and lecturer at Carshalton College, Andy Brook has received 5 nominations by the prestigious Music Producers, Guild, for:
Andy, who teaches music production and recording studio skills on the College BTEC & HNC Music Technology courses, has been recognised for his work with artists such as Francis Rossi, Ginger Wildheart, Hannah Rickard, The Priscillas and Lucifer Star Machine who are also up for Album of the Year.
Martin Smith, Head of the Music Technology department, said “Andy is a very talented producer and engineer and this has been recognised by the music industry in these nominations. He is also a valued member of the Music Technology teaching team at Carshalton College where he brings his high production values and a wealth of current industry practice to our exciting courses."
Andy has produced, engineered and toured with the likes of Status Quo, Uriah Heep, Gregg Jackman, Towers of London, Hayseed Dixie, New Found Glory, Million Dead, Breed 77, Ginger and Andy is also involved in film and TV, location and media post production. He is also a registered member of PRS, AES, APRS, PPL, MU and the MPG as well as being a full voting member of the Brit academy.
Andy studied acoustic composition and composition with electronics at the University of Hertfordshire, graduating with a BA(Hons) in Electronic Music in 2001. He also holds a C&G in Music Technology with distinction at the City of Westminster College and an MA in Audio Production from the University of Westminster.
Andy, who also owns and runs Wallington arts bar, venue, cinema & recording studio "The Brook" with his wife Thea, said,
"It is fantastic to be up alongside such established names in the business and the awards ceremony is such a great event"
