Creative Media Production Student Wins Best Learner Award at House of Lords

Creative Media Production Student Wins Best Learner Award at House of Lords 21 June, 2019

Our Creative Media Production student Cameron has been awarded Best Learner with a prestigious presentation at the House of Lords.

The Committee of South London Principals (COSLP) held its annual Best Learner Awards and the winner of the award for Carshalton College is Cameron Cain. Cameron enjoyed the prestigious event at the Cholmondeley Room, House of Lords with his family on Thursday 23 May.

Cameron joined Carshalton College in 2016 from a specialist school for children with learning difficulties. In the past, Cameron struggled with low self‐esteem but since joining the college he has developed an overwhelming level of self‐confidence and belief in himself. Not only has he successfully completed his Level 1 IT & Media qualification, he progressed onto Level 2 gaining a Merit. Cameron is aiming for a Distinction in his Level 3 Creative Media Production course and is now considering applying for a Degree Apprenticeship once he completes his course.

Cameron’s tutor, James Tebby, is thrilled: “Cameron is a worthy winner of this award and we have no doubt that he will be hugely successful in his chosen career. I am incredibly proud of his achievements.”
