- Study Skills
There is a weekly practical class at London Southbank University (LSBU) - held every Wednesday afternoon - as part of the course to give you some experience of being at university; you will also be given the opportunity to join the Associate Student Scheme at LSBU (London South Bank University).
This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over. Ideally you should have a Level 2 Maths and English qualification and some knowledge or interest in engineering.
Certain universities may require you to have GCSE Maths and/or English as well to meet their entry requirements. You will be given the opportunity to study for these, pending on successfully passing the GCSE entry assessment. Functional Skills is also an option to achieve a Maths and English qualification which some universities accept.
All applicants will be assessed on their levels of English and Maths as well as sitting a basic Engineering Maths Assessment at interview.
The course is an ideal stepping stone for the student who has been out of education for some time and is looking to go to university to study HNC / HND or a full degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
3 days per week
To successfully achieve this qualification and progress to university your attendance and punctuality on the course is expected to be 100% and to meet all course work deadlines.
