AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting - Daytime and Evening options

The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is the professional organisation for accounting technicians. It provides a recognised qualification and a membership body for accounting support staff working in accounting practice, industry and commerce and the public sector. If you are working in an Accounting environment then an Apprenticeship may be available.

Course Content

The programme has 6 learning areas;

  • Advanced Book keeping                   Unit Assessment
  • Final accounts Preparation               Unit Assessment
  • Management Accounting – Costing   Unit Assessment
  • Indirect Tax                                   Unit Assessment
  • Professional Ethics                          Synoptic Assessment
  • Spread sheet Software                    Synoptic Assessment


Assessment is through:

  • 4 Unit Assessments
  • 1 Synoptic Assessment covering all 6 units to be sat at the end of the course

Entry Requirements

AAT Level 2 qualification or equivalent or already working in an Accounting environment with sufficient experience


Students who are working or want to work in the Accounting Industry.


One year

Daytime: Tuesdays 9.30am - 4pm. 

Evening: Tuesday & Wednesday 6pm - 9pm


Students can progress to AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting

Additional Information

It is possible to complete this qualification on a unit by unit basis.
