The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is the professional organisation for accounting technicians. It provides a recognised qualification and a membership body for accounting support staff working in accounting practice, industry and commerce and the public sector. If you are working in an Accounting environment then an Apprenticeship may be available.
In addition to the course fee, you will need to join the AAT (if you are not already a member) and purchase text books.

Course ContentThe programme has 6 learning areas;
- Advanced Book keeping Unit Assessment
- Final accounts Preparation Unit Assessment
- Management Accounting – Costing Unit Assessment
- Indirect Tax Unit Assessment
- Professional Ethics Synoptic Assessment
- Spread sheet Software Synoptic Assessment
AssessmentsAssessment is through:
- 4 Unit Assessments
- 1 Synoptic Assessment covering all 6 units to be sat at the end of the course
Entry RequirementsApplicants will have to be 19+ at the start of the course and AAT Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
SuitabilityStudents who are working or want to work in the Accounting Industry.
Daytime: Tuesdays 9.30am - 4pm.
Evening: Tuesday & Wednesday 6pm - 9pm
ProgressionStudents can progress to AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting
