AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting (42 credits) - Daytime and Evening options

The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is the professional organisation for Accounting Technicians. It provides a recognised qualification and a membership body for accounting support staff working in accounting practice, industry and commerce and the public sector. The training scheme has three stages: Level 2 Foundation Certificate, Level 3 Advanced Diploma and Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting.


In addition to the course fee, you will need to join the AAT (if you are not already a member) and purchase text books.

Course Content

The programme consists of six learning areas:

  • Financial Statements of Limited Companies
  • Management accounting - Budgeting
  • Management accounting - Decision and Control
  • Professional Diploma synoptics
  • Business Tax
  • Personal Tax


5 unit assessments

1 synoptic assessment covering Financial Statements of Limited Companies, Management Accounting - Budgeting, Management Accounting - decision and control, Accounting Systems and Control.

Entry Requirements

AAT Level 3 qualification in Accounting.


Students who have completed NVQ Level 3 or have Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.


Thursdays 9.30am-4.00pm Evening option: Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6.00pm-9.00pm
