Level 3 Apprenticeship in Accounting

The Association of Accounting Technicians is the professional organisation for accounting technicians. It provides a recognised qualification and a membership body for accounting support staff working in accounting practice, industry and commerce and the public sector.

  • Advanced Book keeping
  • Final accounts preparation
  • Management Accounting - Costing
  • Indirect Tax
  • Professional Ethics
  • Spreadsheet Software
  • Employers Rights & Responsibilities
  • Functional Skills Level 2 English
  • Functional Skills Level 2 Maths

Entry Requirements

A minimum of Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English or you will have successfully completed a level 2 programme. Depending on your ability and experience you may be asked to join the Level 2 class to improve your skills. You will also be asked to demonstrate your commitment in an interview.

Suitability

Anyone working, a minimum of 30 hours per week in paid employment in the accounting field

Duration

 One year

Tuesday 9.30am-4pm, or Tuesday & Wednesday evenings 6.00pm-9.00pm

Assessments

Assessment is by:

  • Four computer-based exams
  • One synoptic assessment covering all units to be sat at the end of the course.
  • Portfolio.
  • End Point Assessment interview with an external examiner.

Progression

Level 4 Diploma in Accounting.
