Level 2 Apprenticeship in Plastering

Practical and theory training in Plastering. You will be assessed in the workplace to provide evidence of working at a competent level to satisfy the requirements of the NVQ. Plus Functional skills, Personal Thinking & Learning Skills and Employment rights/responsibilities. Progression Advanced Apprenticeship.

An average of grade C/4 in Mathematics and English GCSEs or you will have successfully completed a Level 1 programme. You will be asked to attend an interview to further demonstrate your commitment to the programme. To be employed as an apprentice Plasterer.

Course Content

Health/Safety; Moving, handling & storing resources; Conforming to productive working practices; applying finishing plaster to background surfaces; producing internal solid plastering/render finishes; laying sand & cement screeds to level and/or falls; applying projection plaster & maintaining equipment; installing mechanically fixed plasterboard; produce cement castings.

Entry Requirements

An average of grade C/4 in Mathematics and English GCSEs or you will have successfully completed a Level 1 programme. You will be asked to attend an interview to further demonstrate your commitment to the programme. To be employed as an apprentice Plasterer.

Duration

2 years, one day a week - Friday

Progression

Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Apprenticeship programme you may be eligible to undertake the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship Certificate.
