QualificationTHAMES WATER Certificate of Competence in Water Regulations
To Provide the installer, designer or a specifier of water fittings and the associated systems with information to meet the requirements of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulation 1999. This course will provide the necessary information in order to complete the ERS Water Regulations Assessments and prove competence in the Water Regulations to meet the requirements of an approved contractor scheme.
This is a stand alone training and assessment course. It is suitable for plumbing and trade operatives undertaking the course for the first time or for those renewing their expiring qualification.
AttendanceThe training (if required) will take one and a half days, with assessment being held during the afternoon on the second day.
Course Duration2 Days (8.15am to 4.00pm, usually held on a Wednesday and Thursday)
Entry RequirementsFor those candidtaes who install and maintain water systems a plumbing qualification is preferable, but not essential.
ProgressionFollowing a successful outcome, candidtaes can apply for approved plumber status. Please note; Any candidtaes who wish to apply for approved plumber status, are required to provide a formal plumbing qualification when submitting an application
ContentThe course will instruct candidates to the level of competence necessary to meet the requirements of the Water Regulations 1999.
AssessmentThe assessment will be one multiple choice open book theory examination.
