What is Enrolment?

Enrolment is your final stage of becoming a Carshalton College student. Everyone needs to enrol, whether you are a full time, undergraduate, part time student or an apprentice. You will need to enrol before you can start classes in September.

Already Applied?

If you have already applied and hold an offer of a place your enrolment will start week commencing 16 August and will take place over the phone in most cases. You will receive your enrolment email and letter in July, which will include your enrolment telephone appointment date along with the Enrolment Guide (a step by step booklet on how to complete your online enrolment). New to College?

If you haven’t yet applied to study at our College in September 2021 it is not too late. Simply visit stcg.ac.uk/appy-now,  find the course you wish to study and click on Apply. You will be asked to create an online account- this will be used for your Application and Enrolment portal.

Your application will be assessed by a tutor who will contact you by phone after 16 August and they will do their best to place you on a course at the right level for you.

Not sure of which course to choose?

The Student Support Team are offering pre-booked telephone appointments and drop-in sessions during enrolment. If the following applies to you, please book or come in and see us-

  • Unsure of what course is right for you or unsure if you meet the entry criteria
  • Have overseas qualifications that you need to know the UK equivalent of
  • Have any mental health concerns
  • Are in care, a care leaver or a young career
  • Feel you have any other support needs that they want to discuss before enrolment
  • Have an unspent criminal conviction and have already had an interview with a tutor and been accepted onto the course

Drop-in sessions will run from Monday 16th August – Thursday 2nd September (excluding the bank holiday). Monday- Thursday 10am-4pm and Friday 10am-3pm.

Please note that there will be no Information Point (telephone or drop-sessions) on Tuesday 31st August as this is a CPD day at the college.

Final Enrolment

Following your Tutor assessment, you will receive a final phone call from Admissions to ensure your enrolment is complete and you know where to collect your ID card

SEND Support

Our Additional Learning Support Team are here to support prospective students with Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs) with applying and enrolling at our College. Students are encouraged to declare their EHCP on their application to ensure we can organise your support meeting and support mechanisms before you start on your course. Your parent/guardian and Local Authority should already be consulting with your College to ensure you are given the best chance of enrolling at your chosen provider.
