Our Level 3 Public Services Year 2 course recently took part in a Crime Scene Investigation event provided by Thinkers in Education.
This event was part of their CSI unit whereby they were able to put into practice the skills they had learnt previously in the year. The students participated in investigating a mock crime scene and then proceeded to analyse blood samples, DNA, finger prints and bones.
They then had to use critical thinking skills to summarise their findings and ultimately discover what happened and why.
The winning group scored the highest number of points ever at Carshalton College.
The students' feedback on the event was that it was such a good event and kept them engaged the whole day. They would highly recommend this event and would love to do it again.
