On Monday 14 March Border Force visited our students from Sports, Public Services and Foundation Learning/SEND courses.

The presentation covered what it is like to work for the Border Force both as an apprentice and a trained Officer.  They spoke about the different areas that they protect from air, sea and rail ports including Gatwick and Heathrow Airports, Portsmouth Harbour & Dover to name just a few and covered the key elements of various roles.

Students were able to try on the bullet proof vests and ask questions.

Job opportunities are available at Heathrow and Gatwick airports and some students expressed an interest in applying.

The final comment from Border Force Officer, Mathew, Your Students had some great questions, and were really engaged, please thank them all.”
